Science Imagined Series
"As a daughter of a scientist and a sister of very smart brother I always assumed they were the science and math inclined ones, not me. When I was young I always created and was inspired by nature. As I got older and my imagination grew, so did my love of science. I realized that even though I may not be able to do the math behind it, I am still incredibly inspired and in awe of what humans continue to learn about ourselves and our surroundings.
My Science Imagined Series is a group of artworks that include my love of science with an imaginative twist and in doing so sometimes tricks the eye into an optical illusion. Often, this optical illusion happened by pure accident, which is sometimes the best kind of artistic accident. Music, art and science are full of twists, turns and imagination and combining them together was a natural and very rewarding process." - Erica Putis
